Divine Mercy Sunday We are one of four parishes that offer prayers together on Divine Mercy Sunday. This year St. Michael in Farmington will host the Divine Mercy prayer service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on April 8
th. There will be an opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Please note that there is a great deal of misunderstanding around Divine Mercy Sunday and going to confession. There is no special benefit for going to confession on the day itself. To receive the graces promised to St. Faustina, the only condition is to receive Holy Communion worthily on Divine Mercy Sunday (or the Vigil celebration) by making a good
confession beforehand and staying in the state of grace and trusting in His Divine Mercy. The indulgence associated with Divine Mercy has the usual conditions of reconciliation within 20 days before or after the appropriate prayers.
