Preschool and Kindergarten

Preschool (age 4 by September 1) and Kindergarten children meet on Wednesday evenings at 5:00-6:00pm or 6:30-7:30pm at St. Michael's Catholic Education Center (School).

Each week our curriculum (utilizing the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies, Promise curriculum) prepares the preschoolers and kindergartners to learn about Jesus as the Sunday Gospels present His story.  We celebrate the church community coming together to celebrate Jesus' life, death and resurrection in the Eucharist and the children coming together to learn about Jesus in our daily life. 
 
Each Wednesday they will listen to the Gospel story, share their own experiences and do a related activity to help them remember what we learned.  The children hear the same Gospel story at their level that the community hears at  Sunday Mass.  Children will learn about being a part of the community and God's family through Baptism and prayers.  We will celebrate the Epiphany by re-enacting the greatest story every told, The Nativity.  We will sing many songs and learn The Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary and The Glory Be.  Each spring we tour the chapel and learn hands on about the days of Lent that lead us to Easter.
